The BTec in Environmental Technology programme aims at preparing graduates to be on the frontline of protecting our environment. The programme is designed as a combined study of the Science, Technology, and Engineering disciplines. Students will gain an in-depth, firm scientific foundation on biological, chemical, and physical mechanisms of the environmental challenges and their monitoring, using scientific and technological interventions for their assessment and management whilst complying with various laws, regulations, and policies.

Our programme equips students to actively engage in addressing pressing environmental and sustainability challenges. Through continuous monitoring and assessment of real-world issues, students will develop the ability to critically analyse complex environmental problems and propose innovative, practical solutions. Working alongside scientists, engineers, and industry experts, they will gain hands-on experience and collaborative skills essential for success in the field. Designed to meet the demands of an ever-changing world shaped by rapid urbanization, population growth, and ecological degradation, this programme cultivates adaptable and forward-thinking environmental technologists. Curriculum of this program not only focuses on scientific and technological solutions to environmental challenges but also highlights the critical roles of social sciences, humanities, policy, and governance in effective problem-solving. The Environmental Technology degree program at SLTC is a four-year undergraduate program that covers a broad range of topics in the field of environmental studies.

The curriculum includes courses in Global Environmental Issues, Ecology, Microbiology, Renewable Energy Systems and Sustainable Development.

In addition to the below listed modules, the Winning Edge Undergraduate Skill Development Programme of SLTC is offered to the students with the objective of producing multitalented professionals equipped with the necessary skills and competencies on the four skills of communication:
Writing, Speaking, Reading and Listening, in English medium.

The modules are conducted in four
levels: Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum based on the competency level of the students. Completion of this full programme is a mandatory graduation requirement.

Payment and Refund Policy

1 . Refunds – Registration Fee/ Down Payment/ Semester Payments

1.1. Students are refunded their registration fee/Down Payment in the following circumstances and all the refunds are facilitated only within a year.

a. Three (3) simple passes (‘S’) in approved subjects in physical science, biological science or technology subject stream in one and the same sitting at the GCE (Advaned Level) Examination or equivalent.

b. If a paid student is selected to follow the degree under the MOHE loan scheme within the first semester

c. A qualified Doctor’s recommendation is given to the student, that the student is unable to participate in academic activities due to mental or physical conditions.

1.2. University Semester fees are refunded only when a student fails the GCE Advanced Level examination. In all other cases, students must pay the semester fee.

1.3. If a student gets selected to MOHE after the 1^st Semester completion, the university will not refund the paid amount but will allow them to continue the degree as MOHE students.

2 . Invoicing

2.1. Invoices are raised based on the time of registration, prevailing discount schemes, and timing of the payment scheme selected by the student. Further, all invoices must be settled within the specified period mentioned on the invoice.

3 . Penalties

3.1. Management may charge penalty charges based on the late payment dates and the penalty rates will be changed based on the discretion of the management.

Centre for Entrepreneurship Development at SLTC Research University was established to promote a culture of entrepreneurship among our graduates and staff through entrepreneurship research, education and a start-up support system. In 2021 SLTC Launched “SLTC Ventures”, a signature programme to incubate entrepreneurship ventures of graduates and staff of SLTC.
