Groove & Move Zumba Workshop

Let’s Zumba!  Get ready to move, groove, and sweat it out at our high-energy Zumba workshop! Whether you’re a beginner or a dance enthusiast, this session is the perfect way to boost your mood, stay active, and have fun with friends.  Date: 12th of August 2025  Time: 4.00 pm – 6.00 pm  Venue: SAT-Common Led by a certified Zumba instructor, this workshop combines dance moves with upbeat music to give you a total body workout, no experience needed! Coffee with a CFO : A New Chapter in Industry – Academic Dialogue

The Faculty of Business Management at SLTC proudly launched its thought provoking conversation series, Coffee with a CFO. This engaging initiative is designed to foster meaningful dialogue between students, academics, and top tier industry professionals in an informal, interactive setting. The inaugural session welcomed Mr. Mahesh Semage, Head of Group Corporate Finance at CBL Group, who shared valuable insights into his career journey, the evolving strategic role of CFOs, and key lessons in corporate financial leadership. The event marked a significant step in strengthening industry-academia collaboration and inspiring the next generation of business leaders at SLTC.

Spreading Kindness this Poson at SLTC

In celebration of Poson Poya, the Student Interactive Society and Media Unit of SLTC organized a “Dansala” at the university entrance. The event offered food and beverages to the SLTC community and guests. The initiative was a heartfelt tribute to the values of Poson – kindness, unity, and spiritual reflection  and was warmly received by all who took part.

SLTC Wasath Hiru Udanaya 2025 – A Celebration of Culture, Unity & Youth Spirit

SLTC proudly hosted “Wasath Hiru Udanaya 2025” , a vibrant and colorful celebration that brought together our university community in a grand showcase of Sri Lankan traditions, creativity, and youthful energy. Held at the SLTC premises, the event featured traditional rituals, musical performances, dance acts, and cultural showcases that highlighted the rich heritage of our nation. Students, faculty, and guests came together in the spirit of togetherness and celebration, making the event a memorable experience for all. Wasath Hiru Udanaya not only honored the Sinhala and Tamil New Year spirit but also reflected the unity and dynamic culture that thrives within our SLTC community.

SLTC MBA 2025 Commencement: A New Chapter for Future Business Leaders!

We proudly hosted the MBA Commencement Session 2025 on March 9, 2025, at TRACE Expert City, marking the beginning of an exciting academic journey for our 2025-2027 cohort! The event featured insightful addresses from: – Dr. Lakshitha Pahalagedara – Dean, Faculty of Postgraduate Studies & Research. – Professor Hilary Silva – Dean, Faculty of Business Management – Mr. Buddhi Thilakarathne – Head of Industrial Management & Program Lead (MBA) – Mr. Upul Kumarasinghe – Deputy General Manager, Ultra Tech Cement Lanka (Pvt) Ltd & our prestigious student from the 1st MBA batch, sharing his experiences and insights. DIGITAsia Project Kickoff Meeting Successfully Concludes in Sri Lanka!

The DIGITAsia Project (Digital Transformation in Asian Higher Education), co-funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union and coordinated by the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Organization and Informatics, Croatia, was officially launched with its Kickoff Meeting held from February 12–14, 2025, in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka Technology Campus (SLTC) proudly hosted the first two days of the event, bringing together esteemed partners from nine universities across Croatia, Maldives, Spain, and Malaysia. This collaborative milestone marks the beginning of a transformative journey toward digital innovation in higher education, driven by Education 5.0 principles, learning analytics, and hybrid learning design. SLTC CIR Lab Wins 1st Runners-Up at Inter-University 3D Printing Make-A-Thon!

We proudly announce that a group of students from the Computational Intelligence and Robotics (CIR) Research Lab won the 1st Runners-Up at the Sri Lanka Inter-University 3D Printing Make-A-Thon for Assistive Technology competition held at the University of Kelaniya!  This prestigious competition, organized by the University of Kelaniya, occurred from February 22–24, 2025. The event challenged university students to design innovative 3D-printed assistive devices that address real-world challenges faced by individuals with disabilities. Competing against 13 teams from over 10 state and non-state universities, our CIR team impressed the judges with their AutoCAD, 3D design, and 3D printing expertise. Their solution a 3D-printed assistive device designed to enhance comfort and accessibility for individuals with mobility challenges was developed in close collaboration with need-knowers, ensuring real-world impact and effectiveness.
